Dragonspell by Donita K. Paul
The day I got this book, I also got to meet the author! I met her at Focus on the Family and got all five books in the series. She gave my sisters and me stuffed dragon toys and signed all five of my books. I told her that I really like dragons and I finished reading Dragonrider. I also told her that I would like to be an author of a dragon book. I thought she was very nice and friendly.
This book was very good. There were two dragons that Kale hatched. Their names are Gymn and Metta. The story is about finding the meech dragon egg. Kale had to rescue the egg from a bad guy named Risto. My favorite part of the story is when the dragons hatch from their eggs, in different parts of the book. Also, Mordakleeps take Leetu to Risto's dungeon and Kale rescues her two times! Kale finds inner powers like the power to mindspeak. She also exploded with light! And the most special thing is her special power to find dragon eggs.
I think you would enjoy this book if you like to learn about lots of different imaginary creatures.

The Dragon of the Red Dawn, a Merlin Mission
The Dragon of the Red Dawn is by Mary Pope Osborne. I am not sure how many Magic Treehouse books I have read, about 23 probably. This one is a very good book, my second favorite Magic Treehouse book. I liked it because Jack and Annie rode the dragon on the cover. She was a helpful dragon. Annie and Jack went to old Japan to get the secret of happiness for Merlin because Merlin is ill. They are sent to Edo City in Old Japan by Teddy and Kathleen, which is now called Tokyo, Japan. My favorite part is when they are riding the dragon and it commanded rain clouds from its mouth to put out the fires in Edo. Annie and Jack are helped by Basho the poet and are called Baku and Koto. I think you should read this book if you like dragons or if you want to feel like you are in Old Japan. I also like the illustrations on chapter 2 because it shows The Imperial Garden.
Celery Stalks at Midnight
This book was very exciting! (It didn't really have anything about celery stalks though) I liked the part where they jumped into the trash truck. This book was about a great adventure by Chester the Cat, Harold the Dog (the shaggy one), and Howie the dachshund. They are trying to find Bunnicula because he got out of the garage the first night in the book. Chester took them to a lot of places and was stabbing white vegetables with toothpicks, thinking they were alive! My favorite character in the story is Bunnicula because they were making a play about castle Bunnicula, and he was sleeping the whole time, and they won first prize for the most unusual pet. I think you should read this book if you like adventure books with animals.

Dragon Rider by Cornelia Funke
This is a really good book full of great adventure. My favorite character in the book is Firedrake. He is the dragon on the cover of the book. I like his silver scales and his giant wings. The dragons are looking for the "Rim of Heaven" because the valley they live in is going to be flooded. One part of the story that I really liked was when Ben was swept away by the giant Roc bird and the bird drops him into her nest. But my favorite part was when they reached the Rim of Heaven. I think you should read this book if you like adventure or dragons.

Bunnicula by Deborah and James Howe
I have read this book 2 times! I really like it because it is scary and silly. Vampire Bunnicula may be cute but he sleeps ALL day and drinks the blood (juice) out of all the vegetables and turns them WHITE! Chester the mean cat used garlic every night to try to stop Bunnicula from getting into the kitchen. Bunnicula got sick, and the people took him to the doctor. The doctor gave him carrot juice and he was better right away. They used the mixer and mixed carrots, salad, and all kinds of different vegetables and made juices out of them to give to Bunnicula. I think you would like this book if you like rabbits and vampires and like to be a little scared.
Igraine the Brave
This is the first book that I read by Cornelia Funke. It is about a girl who wants to become a knight. Her family was a family of magicians. Her brother, her mom, and her dad were all magicians. She thought magic was BORING! This book is good to read if you like magicians and knights. There was a magical mix-up!
